Yeah... I'm sometimes told I'm a bad Brit because I'm not chronically self-deprecating... I work hard and don't find self-doubt to be a virtue. But I think self-awareness is important and can be quite fun. My favourite moments on Who were when it could make fun of itself, poke fun at itself. But then it could take itself quite seriously and pack an emotional punch too, and that back and forth was the source of a lot of its power.
Once, after my mum found out I'd snuck out of the house to see Jessica Lange in "Streetcar," she always assumed I was seeing Shakespeare while in reality I was going to see girls. So I think you can say I owe a great debt to British theatre.

We all saw the paparazzi photos with the big, bushy beard which seemed to confirm it was happening - but I'm guessing he had to keep it a little neater for the Unbroken promotion. I'm guessing he'll grow it back because filming is supposed to begin in January/early February.

tumblr, you will NEVER believe what happened to me last week because i still don't. my followers know i went to vegas last weekend to celebrate my bff jill's bachelorette party. right after we got there we went to caesars palace because we'd heard that's where all the celebrities are (and the location of THE HANGOVER, three of my top 5 favorite movies!)It's good to hear that he and Sav are apparently on good terms after the supposed cheating (although I will point out that there's still no proof that Robert/Layla ever happened for all you Robreer shippers), but according to the various "sightings" we've had in the past week he's been seen with Natalie Williams and Hazel McBridge in NYC and a mystery brunette in London, as well as one of his recent Instagram photos showing the wallpaper from Layla Greer's house (which only shows, I think, that Robeer shippers watch too much HTGAWM).
anyway we were standing there and monica started freaking out because she saw hbic PIPER CHAPMAN from orange is the new black coming out of the hotel holding hands with some guy she didn't recognize. we tried to act cool but when i turned around to look (you know, subtlely), IT WAS ROBERT DEMSIE. my followers know that i started watching doctor who with robert's first season and i am OBSESSED. i couldn't believe it was him.
but that's only the beginning. he came over to us, offered jill a piggy-back ride, and carried her around the block before dropping her off back with us and asking for $5!
edited to add: YES you read right, they were holding hands when they came out of the hotel, but obviously they dropped them when he came over to us. they were really giggly and seemed to be enjoying each other's company, so who knows?!
